Compose new mail

Here you will find information about the features of the Compose window.

1. Select which alias to send from. When you Reply to an email this selection will automatically be set to the alias that the original email was sent to
2. If you want to manually add another email signature, a click here will paste the signature for the selected alias
3. If you click on the To-button you will see all your previous contacts and you will be able to add people to the recipient list*, each recipient will be separated with a comma
4. If you click on the Cc-button (CarbonCopy) you will see all your previous contacts and you will be able to add people to the Cc-list*, each recipient will be separated with a comma. Every email on the Cc-list will be able to see the other email addresses on the To-list and the Cc-list
5. If you click on the Bcc-button (BlindCarbonCopy) you will see all your previous contacts and you will be able to add people to the Bcc-list*, each recipient will be separated with a comma. The emails on the Bcc-list will not be visible to other email addresses on the To-list, Cc-list or the Bcc-list
6. *If the Encrypt-checkbox is checked, this email will be sent in encrypted form. To be able to use encryption, every recipient must have a public key
7. If the Sign-checkbox is checked, this email will be digitally signed with the RSA-algorithm, this will prove that the email was sent from a valid Countermail-account. You can send signed emails to everyone, even if they don't have any public key
8. If the "Do not save"-checkbox is checked, this email will NOT be stored in your Sent-folder
9. This will set the priority flag (Low, Normal or High). This is just a graphical marker for the email
10. If the "Request read receipt"-checkbox is checked, this will tell the recipients email client that you want a read-notification, if the recipient accept this request, you will get an automatic email that informs you when they opened your email
11. The "Save draft"-button will save your email inside your Draft-folder, and you will be able to finish the email later
12. Send the email to all recipients
13. This list will show you all attachments made to this email
14. First select which attachment you want to remove, then press the [Remove] button
15. Add an attachment to this email, you can add all file types except for: .EXE .COM .BAT .SCR or .VBS files. The attachment will be encrypted if every person on the To-list, Cc-list and the Bcc-list have a public key
